The secular liberals of the world often challenge Catholics and other Christians to "prove" that there is a God. They demand scientific proof and ridicule our faith.
Interestingly, however, if I had faith in my God to the extent that they do in their beliefs in the President, in the proposed health care programs, in the natural evolution of mollusk to man according to Darwin and in "end of the world" climate change events, I would be living in a monastery.
Their faith is incredible, yet none of those programs or theories can be proved scientifically. After 150 years it is still, Darwin's THEORY of Evolution.
As evidence of their outrage, see this story on how customers of Whole Foods, the immensely successful grocery chain, are abandoning it because its President doesn't support the Obamacare plan.
Joshua has been taking the bus to his local Whole Foods in New York City every five days for the past two years. This week, he said he'll go elsewhere to fulfill his fresh vegetable and organic produce needs. "I will never shop there again," vowed Joshua, a 45-year-old blogger, who asked that his last name not be published.
Like many of his fellow health food fanatics, Joshua said he will no longer patronize the store after learning about Whole Foods Market Inc.'s CEO John Mackey's views on health care reform, which were made public this week in an op-ed piece he wrote for The Wall Street Journal . . . .

I love Whole Foods - shop there whenever I can. Ray I have a new email.
Cath informed me this morning of your change of address.
Shopping wise, my heart belongs to Aldi's. You can't beat the price; the quality of what they have is excellent but they don't stock everything.
I read that they purchase the highest quality items that they can find from competitors, then go to food processors and say "If you can match this I'll buy 1 million a month." They do darn well at it.
The Strib compared their prices with Cosco, Sam's Club, Rainbow and CUB and they are most often the cheapest.
The owner is one of the 50 richest men in the world from selling groceries. Everybody's gotta eat. They're not available much west of the Mississippi (other than Minneapolis) in this country.
I see there's a Trader Joe's open in St. Paul now. I'll have to check them out. I have nothing against Whole Foods, but I'm not neurotic about freshness.
Most of the stuff in my refrigerator is weeks old. What would be the purpose of buying the freshest? It won't be the next day.
We don't have a Whole Foods near but if we did, I'd go. I did go to Aldi's today (after not going there for a long time) and WHOA did I save some dough.
Thanks for the link, Ray, that was a doozy!
Craze:
I don't buy that much at a time at Aldi's, maybe a shopping bag full.
But I was behind a lady who had an overflowing shopping cart the other day and asked her if she had any idea as to how much she saved, she replied that she didn't think she saved anything.
I know that I can save a buck each on peanut butter, salad dressing and acetomenaphin alone (for the "arthur-itis").
I figure that woman has no clue about her personal finances. She just spends what she has each month.
