With his 20th anniversary as a bishop approaching and amid rumors the Vatican will name his replacement soon, Archbishop Harry Flynn said he still enjoys his ministry and that speculation about his retirement is “unfortunate” and premature.
In an interview June 13 with The Catholic Spirit, Archbishop Flynn, who turned 73 on May 2, confirmed that he has requested a coadjutor — someone to assist him and then succeed him upon his retirement.
