Sunday, June 18,
Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Ave,
A.A. restores your health and keeps you from an early grave.
Calix saves your soul and puts you on the road to heaven.
--William J. Montroy, a founder of the Calix Society
Catholics with an alcohol problem, non-Catholic alcoholics, and
others concerned with the illness of alcoholism are invited to join
in prayer with the members of the Calix Society, who seek not
only the virtue of total abstinence, but also to mature spiritually
and to sanctify their whole personality.
The Calix Society encourages and provides opportunities for
frequent participation in Mass, reception of the sacraments,
personal prayer and meditation, Holy Hours, and Days of
Recollection and retreats. Members maintain their sobriety
through affiliation with and participation in the Fellowship of
Alcoholics Anonymous.
The local chapter meets monthly at the Cathedral of
for Mass, followed by a breakfast meeting downstairs.
