ELCA Lutherans allow practicing homosexuals to become ministers

.
I have a question for those Catholics who are involved in "ecumenical events" in the hope and intention that "all may be one."

Doesn't it seem like they are running away from us as fast as they possibly can? Isn't the ecumenical movement just an excuse for a few lunches, meetings and social events?

Can someone name one thing that one protestant church or Jewish Conservative or Orthodox association has done that indicates a willingness to move closer to the Roman Catholic Church?

I guess that a few years ago some Lutherans did agree what they were wrong when they accused Rome of being in favor of salvation by works alone. But they didn't change any of their doctrines or practices, just an incorrect belief.

I do think the ELCA Lutherans are running away from us as fast as they possibly can. Not even a tornado could turn them from their course.

I don't think the ecumenical movement was an excuse for a few lunches, meetings and social events. Maybe now, as progress turns into regress, but not initially. I think it was serious business with some hope of success.

It was Jesus that desired that "all may be one" and we should do what we can to promote that. Yet I don't know how to do that with supposed partners in dialog who want to increase their distance and promote the unpromotable.
