A Marian lay association with a local division has become the newest group to be elevated to the status of a “public association of the faithful” by the Pontifical Council for the Laity.
Harry Marthaler, president of the World Apostolate of Fatima USA division for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, presented the Vatican decree to Archbishop Harry Flynn May 1 at the chancery. Marthaler was flanked by his nine-member board and associate members.
