Take the Online Catholic Cemeteries Survey Through Jan 8 (Tomorrow)

.

There is still time to participate in the Catholic Cemeteries Survey, a tool being used by the archdiocesan Catholic Cemeteries Office to measureurrent Catholic attitudes about end-of-life issues.

The survey has been extended to Monday, Jan. 8. It can be found on the Web at www.teamworksintl.net/surveys/index.html.

About 700 people had taken the survey as of late December, according to cemetery office director John Cherek.

Concern over a decline in the number of burials in Catholic cemeteries in recent years prompted Cherek to bring together members of the funeral industry.he survey was the result of that meeting.

To participate, go to the Web site, click on the Gold survey and enter “cemeteries” when the password prompt appears.

Enter “10” when it asks for the survey identification number. Fill in responses and click “submit.”

Thanks for posting this - I just took the survey. In the section on "Importance of Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Activities", they asked participants to rate several activities "according to level of importance in helping with the grieving process following death." One of those (#45) is worded as follows: "Funeral prayers and rituals commending the body of the deceased to God." Do you think they meant 'soul' instead of 'body'?
