Our Lady of Fatima - An Historic Intervention

Today is the 89th anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima to the three shepherd children of Portugal. It also is the 25th anniversary of the attempted assassination of our beloved late, great, Pope John Paul II.

One of the the great things I loved about the three children was their "shorthand" version of the Hail Mary to get their Rosary done quicker: "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen." Not orthodox, but at least it's not heretical.

Sharon at Clairity's Place has a nice post today on Marian apparitions and she covers Fatima and the infamous "three secrets." Stop over and see!
