St. Coletta of Wisconsin seeks state aid

St. Coletta of Wisconsin has helped countless developmentally disabled people for more than a century. Now the Jefferson-based organization is asking for financial assistance to continue its mission. If it does not receive aid its officials say, it will be forced to discharge 45 of its older developmentally disabled clients.

St. Coletta officials met Tuesday afternoon with the Daily Times to discuss what has become a crisis for the Catholic organization. Its top management is concerned about how the situation might affect the 45 people who would be forced out of their care under a worst-case scenario. [snip] Watertown Daily Times
