Take a day trip with family or friends to a Marian shrine, such as the Assumption Chapel, a.k.a. “Grasshopper Chapel,” in Cold Spring, near St. Cloud (8:00 p.m. Mass, call (320) 685-3280), or the new Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe near La Crosse, Wis.
You can receive a plenary indulgence for visiting a church or shrine on its titular feast and other designated days and praying there an Our Father and a Creed, in addition to fulfilling the usual conditions.
