Dedicated Teacher Has Taught 2,500+ First Communicants -- And Isn't Stopping Yet!

The next time you’re at Mass when children are making their first Communion, you might want to say a little prayer of thanks for the dedicated teachers and volunteers who make the moment possible.

Janel Boegeman of St. Michael in Prior Lake is one of those dedicated teachers. Over the course of more than 20 years, Boegeman estimates she’s worked with some 2,500 children, including children of children she first instructed in her early years as a teacher. This year, she helped prepare about 180 students, mostly second-graders, for the sacrament. [snip] The Catholic Spirit
