I just watched the taped Sunday Mass with Pope Benedict in Bavaria ending with the 300,000 in attendance delivering a stirring rendition of "Holy God We Praise They Name."
One wonders what would have been the effect over the centuries if the foot soldiers of history had had radio and television and had been able to regularly watch and listen to their "enemies" singing the same hymns as they would sing?
