Noted Speakers Scheduled For Fargo Eucharistic Congress Oct 13-15

Several names familiar to Catholics are on the list of speakers for the 2006 Marian Eucharistic Congress to be held Oct. 13 through 15 at the Civic Memorial Auditorium in Fargo, N.D.

Most Rev. Samuel J. Aquila, Bishop of Fargo, will be joined by Father Andrew Apostoli, Father Benedict Groeschel, Father William Halbing, Father John Horgan, Father Clement Machado, Sister Briege McKenna, Father Bernard Marie Murphy, Father Mitch Pacwa and Father Kevin Scallon.

Also participating in the Congress are performers and speakers Al Barbarino and Michael O’Brien, EWTN personality and author Johnnette Benkovic, and Dan Lynch, guardian of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The opportunity to purchase Catholic items and learn about Catholic programs will also be provided by the numerous vendors who will be present.

In addition to the speaker presentations, the Congress schedule includes daily Mass, confessions, rosary and Eucharistic Adoration, a speakers’ forum, a Eucharistic Healing Service led by Sister Briege McKenna at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, and much more. The Congress begins at noon Friday, Oct. 13. Speakers on Saturday and Sunday begin at 8:30 a.m. Bishop Aquila will celebrate the Congress’ closing Mass at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15. A children’s program will be available during some of the speaker presentations.
