On Nov. 7, Wisconsin residents will vote on a referendum to amend the state constitution to say: "Only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in this state. A legal status identical or substantially similar to that of marriage for unmarried individuals shall not be valid or recognized in this state."

If only our Minnesota Senators would allow the ban to be voted on in MN, I'd be really happy.
I wrote to my Senator asking that the amendment be put on the November ballot and I got a canned response along the lines of: there are more important things and the ban is excessive because we already have the federal DOMA. My response: "That's what they thought in Massachusetts" No reply.
