I had the honor of meeting Jack Haben at the reception after the welcoming Mass for Archbishop Nienstedt last month. What a fine, mature young man! They didn't build them like that when I was a lad.

My prayers will be with him and his class as their spiritual journey and discernment takes place over the next half dozen years or so. God Bless Them All!

And speaking of blessings, if I were to create an Archdiocesan Hall of Fame of Great Parishes from which we are getting our seminarians, I would say that this class's parishes looks like a solid start. Most of these are the ones that have a seminarian to give to us every couple of years or more often.

Of course, there are others, too, who would be on the list.
