St. John the Evangelist Parish in Duluth Receives $3 Million Dollar Donation

A church in Duluth's Woodland neighborhood has received a whopping $3 million dollar gift from an anonymous donor.

The donation to St. John the Evangelist School and Church is dedicated to the building of a cafeteria for the school, additional classrooms, and additional office space.

The project will eventually connect the church and the school. The school's pastor says it's the best thing that's happened for Catholic education in the area in a long time.

Officials hope construction will begin as soon as spring of 2010. KBJR-TV
