The Rev. Mike Hayden is a down-to-earth guy who tells you what he thinks, not to mention just what St. Mary's of the Seven Dolors needs to recover from its troubles.
"What you see is what you get," Hayden likes to tell St. Mary's parish members, a reference to his predecessor, the Rev. Ryan Erickson, who portrayed himself as a zealot for Christian values, then committed suicide the week before Christmas 2004, hanging himself from a fire escape outside the rectory. StarTribune
