Superior churches tackle 'Da Vinci Code' claims

In the front of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic church Friday, an imposing statue of Jesus Christ nailed to a cross faced the pews. Hundreds of parishioners stood in line at the Good Friday service in Superior to bow before it -- expressing their belief that Jesus was God and he sacrificed himself for humanity's sins.

That belief, held by Christians for centuries, is contradicted in the novel "The Da Vinci Code," by Dan Brown. With the May 19 release of the film version, church leaders are preparing to discuss it with congregations.
