Twin Cities Area Parish Festivals in August


Fun Fiesta 2007 at Assumption, Richfield — Aug. 10 to 12: Soccer tournament Friday and Saturday. Golf tournament Saturday. Entry forms available at the church. Festival continues noon to 10 p.m. Saturday featuring a pork dinner, live music, games, inflatable rides, food and more. Festival at St. Wenceslaus, New Prague — Aug. 11 to 12: Polka Mass at 5 p.m. Saturday followed by a Texas hold’em tournament with food and beverages. Continues with Polka Masses at 8:30 a.m. and !0: 30 a.m. Sunday followed by a grilled chicken dinner served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., floats, ice cream, bingo and live entertainment. Continues Sunday with Mass at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. followed by a chicken dinner served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pony rides from noon to 2 p.m., a petting zoo, farmer’s market and more.
