Back in December, the New York Times ran Questions Couples Should Ask (Or Wish They Had) Before Marrying. A few are stunningly obvious - discussions about whether children are wanted, important financial obligations or health history. The importance of open communication is reflected in some of the others: "Is my partner affectionate to the degree I expect?" and similar questions about sexual needs and preferences.
