Do You Really Know Your Fiance?

Sister Edith, who blogs at Monastic Musings and teaches Sociology at St Scholastica, has another winning post today, especially for you folks still in the marriage market.

Back in December, the New York Times ran Questions Couples Should Ask (Or Wish They Had) Before Marrying. A few are stunningly obvious - discussions about whether children are wanted, important financial obligations or health history. The importance of open communication is reflected in some of the others: "Is my partner affectionate to the degree I expect?" and similar questions about sexual needs and preferences. A few get at small choices that can have a big impact - "Will there be a television in the bedroom?" [....Snip] Monastic Musings
