St Vincent de Paul Society Reaches Out to Poor

Almsgiving is a familiar Lenten practice but two St. Vincent de Paul Societies in the Diocese of Superior depend on it year-round to fund good works.

In the city of Superior, a society was organized in 1959 to care for its needy. On the southeastern edge of the diocese, Merrill citizens formed a St. Vincent's just three years ago but with solid community support it easily took off and has already made its mark.
