North End (St. Paul) Catholic News

Gentle Reader: Ray from MN is in good health but his computer is not. I pray that he will be blogging again soon. He told me that he has been remarkably free of profanity during this process. I think he deserves a nice big round of applause! (sounds of deafening adulation heard from around the globe)

Signed: Baroness Cathy Of Alex the Sublunary of St Winifred by Winchelsea, Her Catholicness of St. Andrew Parish by Como Lake Neighboring South Como in the District of North End of St. Paul in the Territory of Sky Blue Waters in the Nation of the Immaculate Conception of Our Blessed Lady.

(Yes, I'm taking the
Peculiar Aristocratic Title thing too far and, other than too much coffee, I have not been drinking this morning)

Saint Andrew:

Daily Mass: 8:00 a.m. M-F, Sunday: 4:30 (anticipatory), 8:00 and 10:00.
Confessions: 3:30-4:00 p.m. on Saturday

Eucharistic Adoration is now from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays for the winter. The change begins immediately. The Adoration Chapel is in the NE corner of the church-behind the altar and to the right. No Adoration during the 8:00 a.m. hour because of Holy Mass at that time. Visitors are welcome.

Adult Catholic Instruction begins on Monday, January 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Rectory. Fr. Patrick J. Ryan will be combating ignorance of the Faith and teaching from the Catechism. If you are looking for confirmation of your relativistic beliefs, this class is not for you.

The addition is done and it was dedicated and blessed by Bishop Pates yesterday. The new addition has a 100 seat Chapel, a gathering area that seats 200, a full kitchen, and a parish library.

Eucharistic Adoration at Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. During construction of the new addition, Adoration was in the Church. I don't know if Adoration will eventually be moved to the new Chapel.
