Fr. John Paul Erickson.to speak on new translation of the Mass tonight at St. Michael's in West St. Paul

The Holy Name Society of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis is sponsoring the first of two talks in its Fall 2010 Speaker Series. The first talk is on Tuesday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of St. Michael in West St. Paul.

The talk is on the “New Translation of the Roman Missal," and will be given by Fr. John Paul Erickson. The talk will be recorded and CD's will be made available the night of the talk for a suggested donation.

Father John Paul Erickson was born and raised in Saint Paul, MN, where he attended Catholic parochial schools from age 5 to 18. Following his graduation from Thomas Aquinas College in California in 2002, Father Erickson entered the Saint Paul Seminary, receiving ordination at the hands of Archbishop Harry Flynn in 2006. He has since served as associate pastor of the Cathedral of Saint Paul, the Church of Saint Vincent de Paul in Saint Paul, and the Church of Saint Agnes. He is currently the Director of the Archdiocesan Office of Worship, his full time assignment since the summer of 2008, and continues to assist with the sacramental needs of Saint Agnes in Saint Paul.
