Joan McGrath of Piux X in White Bear Named to Int'l Women's Group Board

Joan McGrath, a member of St. Pius X in White Bear Lake, was elected as the U.S. representative to the board of the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organizations. The group is made up of about 100 Catholic women’s groups from around the world, including the National Council of Catholic Women, its U.S. member.

McGrath previously has served as president of the local Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women from 1985 to 1987 and as NCCW president from 1995 to 1997. She said she was “excited and honored” by her election to the new post, in which she will act as a liaison between WUCWO and NCCW. [snip] Catholic Spirit
